Funny how the rules seem to be different. But good for you for taking advantage of the situation to get a good shoot with compromising yourself.Rusty Sterlinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14789669785887326916noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5661159666166945914.post-17851482791135708602010-06-17T14:39:29.837-07:002010-06-17T14:39:29.837-07:00TV people set stuff up ALL THE TIME.
I saw the guy...TV people set stuff up ALL THE TIME.
I saw the guys from the Seattle stations do it constantly when I worked for newspapers - usually after they missed something, they'd ask someone to "do it again."
Once I was at a scene where police were investigating something at a house. Nothing was going on, and it was pretty boring... so a KOMO photographer asked the police to pretend like they were carrying evidence away from the scene. The police complied... with EMPTY paper bags!! Even though it was orchestrated by the TV guy, I didn't shoot it.
I find it interesting that TV photographers are represented by the same professional organization as still photographers (NPPA), yet the rules don't seem to apply to them.Kevinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10454433845819938876noreply@blogger.com
